Spencer Jorgensen

Spencer started his career after a knee injury ended his football scholarship at Adams State University. Working for a Denver shop that produced MLS books for Boards of Realtors across the country served as a springboard into the offset printing industry where he served as night shift manager then plant manager in Denver before transferring to Houston. A couple years later, he returned to Colorado to manage US West’s printing plant in Loveland. Fearing that printed products were becoming less prevalent in a changing world, Spencer left the printing business and joined a Fort Collins injection molding and contract manufacturing company. He held the positions of president, general manager and consultant before moving on to a Fort Collins-based injection molding company as their sales manager. Realizing that U.S manufacturing of food and medical packaging was booming, Spencer joined a Fort Collins company that designed and manufactured automated systems for handling packaging components produced by injection molding. As the plant operations manager, Spencer mastered lean manufacturing techniques while providing leadership and direction to the operations and manufacturing group responsible for fabrication, assembly and final testing.

In 2006, Spencer finally found his way to the sign manufacturing industry and ADCON, where he quickly assumed the role of general manager and has blended his technical experience in printing and graphic arts with other manufacturing disciplines. During his tenure at ADCON, he has been involved with every facet of the business, from sales to installation, and can hardly believe he’s been managing people and business for almost 40 years. That’s where his gray hair came from — or so he says…
